Mrs. Margaret Rushton Mitchell, wife of Mr. D.J. Mitchell, 113 Colborne street, passed away yesterday morning after a very brief illness. The cause of death was acute indigestion. The deceased, who had attained the age of 57 years, leaves a husband and large family to mourn her loss. The children are Mrs. J. Whittaker, city; Mrs. B. Northmore, city; Theodore of Toronto, and Misses Addie and Ariel at home. Mrs. Mitchell was born in England, coming to this country at the age of 4 years. having lived in Brantford practically all her life, the deceased was very well known. She was a member of the First Baptist church. The funeral takes place tomorrow to Greenwood cemetery.
Mrs. Hetherington of this city is a sister, and the brothers still living are Joseph of the Cockshutt Road, George, Robert and Hiram of St. Thomas and William of Kansas City.
