Mrs. Perry R. Baker
Pearl G. Schmachtenberger, daughter of Mrs. Clint Keyser of Bremen, was born May 26, 1881, in St. Joseph County, Indiana. She was thirty-eight years, nine months and eleven days old at the time of her death Sunday. On Sept. 7, 1898, she was united in marriage with Perry R. Baker. To this union were born seven children: Foster, 20 years old; Cleo Belle, 17; Kenneth, 14; Nilea [note: this is Maxwell G.], 12; Clifford, 9; James, 2 1/2. One infant son preceded the mother in death.
Besides the husband and children, Mrs. Baker leaves her mother, Mrs. Clint Keyser; two sisters, Mrs. Addie Green and Mrs. Fred Hoople; and one brother, Walter Kimble, all of Bremen, as well as a number of other less near relatives.
Funeral services were conducted at Grace U.R. church Wednesday morning by Rev. W.B. Rittenhouse. Burial was in the Bremen cemetery.
