13.Information
from Linda Grant, I have [Ann Hartley] documented back to her marriage
in Colne 5 Mar 1837 to George RUSHTON in Colne parish.1840
Trawden census shows Colne as her birthplace (birthdate was 13 Jan 1814)
but I can't find a baptism in Colne to match that timing.I've
found 2 possible Ann Hartleys but one is 1812 (too early by all evidence)
and the other is about 1820 which is awfully late for baptism (and she's
not Methodist).I keep digging into
the Ontario records hoping something might be there to give me a better
clue on her birthplace and parents.I
do have her obituary from Oct 1889 Brantford Expositor. .
14.Information
from Linda Grant, Ann and George arrived in Brantford in 1854. They had
2 children before marriage who were both baptised at the Christ Church
in Colne a month before the parents' marriage. They had 13 children birthdates
between 1835 and 1861--two died young in England and the rest settled in
Brantford.Exact birth and death years for Anne Rushton also from Linda
