Two years later she removed to Houghton, where she resided until her marriage and then came with her husband to Calumet.     Mrs. Lang is survived by five daughters and four sons, all of whom were at her bedside when death came. They are: The Misses Mary, Kathryn and Margaret at home; Mrs. Frank Livingway and Mrs. Ellis Livingway of Detroit; John, James, Hugh and Tom, and a brother, John Lawlor of Houghton.    Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning from the Sacred Heart church, with interment in Forest Hill cemetery, Houghton.

She is survived by the following five daughters, the Misses Mary, Catherine and Margaret, at home; Mrs. Fred [note-this is incorrect: it should be Frank] Livingway, of Laurium, and Mrs. Ellis Livingway, of Detroit, who was at home when the end came; also by four sons, Thomas of Laurium; James, John and Hugh at home. The deceased was well and favorably known and had a large circle of friends in the comminity who all unite in extending their deepest sympathy to the members of the family. Wednesday morning the remains will be taken to Holy Rosary church at 9 o'clock where a high mass will be sung for the repose of her sould. interment will take place in Forest Hill cemetery, Houghton..

66.  Defense Contract Admistration Services Region, Detroit, Highlights, June 4, 1971, "Approved Suggestion Gives Benefits Four Ways":Miss Patricia Lang, Chief, Customs Branch, Transportation Division, received a Cash Award of $365 for an adopted suggestion.  This is the largest monetary award received thus far this year by a Region employee.  The suggestion resulted in a hange to AsPR 6-605.2, Contract Clause, which eliminated the superfluous memorandum copy of the Bill of Lading (or other shipping document) which was forwarded direct by the Canadian supplier to DCASR, Detroit Customs Branch at the time of shipment of goods into the U.S.  First year hard savings of $7,266 is the tangible benefits accruing to the Region in that there will be about 27, 600 fewer documents to be processed.  Additionally, although not considered in the award computations, there will be savings to Canadian contractors and indirectly to the U.S. Government of an amount estimated at $82,800 annually.  Lastly, but most importantly, is that the ASPR change will provide some measure of relief to Miss Lang and her Customs Clerks.

Mr. Lang was chief financial officer for St. Vincent-Mercy Medical Center from 1969 to 1990. A veteran of the U.S. Navy, he was a member of the Northwest Ohio Korean War Veterans, and an active member of St. Vincent Retirees. Mr. Lang was past president of the Northwest Ohio Chapter of the Health Care Financial Management Association. Preceded in death by brother, Jim; sisters, Betty, Pat, and Kay, and granddaughter, Roberta Lang-Burke, he is survived by son, Robert Lang of Bakersfield, CA; daughters, Marjorie Lang of Royal Oak, MI, Nichole Lang of Bowling Green, Laura Lang of Rossford, and Christina Lang of Asheville, NC. Also surviving are grandchildren, Robert Lang and Nigel Lang, and Chase and Lucas Heller, and great-granddaughter, Kaitlin Lang.
