The Queen Vs. John Brommel and William Brommel [sic]
The prisoners were indicted for manslaughter for having on the 17th of July last assaulted James McRoberts in such a manner that death ensued. The circumstances of this case were detailed in our columns at the time, and need not be repeated now. The evidence adduced was insufficient to bring home the charge, and the young lads were acquitted. Mr. G. Robinson defended the prisoners, Mr. Prince conducting the case for the Crown.
